Our six year old son, Owen, lost his right foot due to a riding lawnmower accident in October 2013. After Owen's accident, he was airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center. He stayed there for 28 days while he underwent three major surgeries and 4 sedated procedures. He had a Syme's Amputation completed on his right foot and also had a large skin graft for an injury he sustained on the back of his left leg. The care he received was nothing short of perfection and his recovery has been miraculous.

Owen was selected as one of the Heroes for Loyola's 5k in 2014. Loyola produced a short story about him for the 5k and here is the link to that video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_hmUGk2xKM&t=5s. Over the past three years we have raised over $100,000 for Loyola through Team Owen.

Today, Owen is doing amazing with a super-cool, super-fast, state-of-the-art prosthesis from Fillauer and Scheck & Siress! We continue to give back to Loyola since Owen’s accident and that’s why we are participating in the 5k again this year! Thank you for joining Team Owen and thank you for your generous donation!
